We started at 4:30am and this was about the time when there was enough light to get a good video. The weather was good, the scenery was amazing and I had very special company running with me. I was honored to be joined by America's Marathon Man Jerry Dunn. In the 90's and 2000's Jerry was completing amazing acts of running endurance which are still very impressive today. He is "coming out of retirement" as he puts it. Most recently he owned a successful race company in South Dakota. Now after selling it he wants to get back to regular distance running. His next feat is to run 70 kilometers in celebration of his 70th birthday and to raise money for Special Olympics South Dakota. He's a really great guy and a strong runner. I'm so happy he was able to join me in Badlands.
